How to Identify Your Personal Interior Design Style
Our homes are reflections of who we are. The interiors showcase what we like and dislike to our guests and family members. Is it minimal and clean or is it layered with objects collected over time? There is really no wrong design style. What is important is that you and your family are comfortable in it.
But how do you figure out exactly what your unique style is? Read on…
Step 1: Compile Inspirational Images
The best way to find your own style is to look at images. Pinterest is a great app for doing this, but you can also look on Instagram or search Google images. Save or pin anything you’re drawn to. You can put these images in folders to organize them.

Step 2: Identify Common Themes in Pictures
Once you’ve accumulated several dozen pictures, go back over them and look for commonalities. You may find that you’re drawn to a particular color or shape. Don’t worry if an image doesn’t completely say “you"-- you can always crop images to include only what you love. The goal is to collect as many pictures as possible.
